Last updated: 17 September 2026
This policy explains how SquishCo handles personal information when you visit our website, buy products or contact us. SquishCo is operated by David Gasan, trading as SquishCo, ABN 33 539 291 169 (we, us or our).

Privacy contact: squishcompany.au@gmail.com
1 Information we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we collect the information needed to assist you. This may include your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, items ordered, payment status, transaction references, delivery instructions and correspondence about enquiries, returns or complaints. If you subscribe to updates, we also record your contact details and marketing preferences.
Our website services may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring website and the date and time of your visit. Cookies and similar technologies are explained below.
Payment details entered at checkout are processed by the payment provider for the method you select. We use transaction confirmations and limited payment details to manage orders and refunds. Please do not send full card details or security codes by email.
2 How we collect and use information
We collect information directly from you through checkout, forms, subscriptions and correspondence, automatically through website services, and from payment and delivery providers about your order. If you send a gift to another person, please make sure you are authorised to provide their delivery details.
We use this information to fulfil orders, arrange delivery, process refunds, provide customer support, send order updates and product safety notices, protect against fraud, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. Website usage information helps us maintain and improve the store. Marketing is handled separately as described below.
You can browse without giving us your name, although technical data may still be collected. You may make a general enquiry anonymously or under a pseudonym where practical. Without the information needed for payment, delivery or a specific enquiry, we may be unable to complete that transaction or assist fully.
3 Service providers and disclosures
We share information needed for the relevant task with Squarespace, which hosts our store; the payment providers involved in your checkout; postal and courier services; Google, through our Gmail customer-service account; and professional advisers or support providers where needed. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or reasonably necessary to address fraud or protect safety and legal rights. We do not sell customer mailing lists.
4 Overseas handling
Our technology providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Ireland. Processing may also occur in other countries where those providers and their service providers operate. The locations depend on the service used. Contact us if you would like more information about the providers involved in your transaction.
Provider information is available at https://www.squarespace.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy. The privacy notice for your selected payment provider explains its handling of payment information. We take reasonable steps to choose suitable providers and protect information we share, including any overseas-disclosure steps required by law. Using our website does not waive your privacy rights.
5 Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as the shopping cart, checkout and security. Where analytics features are enabled, they may also help us understand website visits and performance. Cookies can recognise a browser or device across visits.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some shopping functions may not work properly. Where the website presents cookie choices, you can use those controls to manage optional cookies. Any consent required by law for optional tracking will be obtained before it is used. This policy is not blanket consent to tracking or advertising.
6 Marketing messages
We will send promotional emails only with your consent as required by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by emailing us. We will action requests within five working days, without charge. Unsubscribing does not stop essential messages about an order, refund or product safety issue.
7 Children and personal information
Our products may appeal to children, but orders must be placed by an adult. Children should ask a parent or guardian to contact us or shop for them. We do not ask children to provide their date of birth, school details, photographs or health information. Please avoid including unnecessary information about a child in order notes or messages. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
8 Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and limit access to people who need it for business purposes. No online service is completely secure. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this policy, including legal recordkeeping, disputes and product safety, then delete or de-identify it where practicable and lawful. If a data breach occurs, we will assess it and make any notifications required by law.
9 Access and correction
Email squishcompany.au@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records. Please do not send identity documents unless we request them through an appropriate process.
We aim to respond within 30 days. Deletion may not be possible where records are still reasonably needed or must be kept by law. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why, unless legally prevented, and discuss available alternatives. These arrangements do not limit rights you have under applicable law.
10 Privacy complaints
Please send privacy concerns to squishcompany.au@gmail.com, addressed to David Gasan, with enough detail for us to investigate. We will review the concern, seek any further information needed and aim to provide a written response within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain the delay and expected response date.
If you are dissatisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992 for guidance about your options. Its ability to investigate a complaint depends on whether the relevant privacy law applies to the business and the circumstances. Nothing in this policy restricts your right to contact a regulator.
11 Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or information-handling practices change. We will publish the current version on our website and update the date above. Where required by law, we will give additional notice or obtain consent before making a material change to how information is used. You can request a copy of this policy by email.
